Bajak laut menyita dua kapal tanker Eropa di lepas pantai Somalia dalam kemarin, demikiran menurut pusat Perkapalan Nato. Kapal Nipayia milik perusahaan Yunani dengan 19 orang awak kapalnya dibajak hari Rabu, ementara kapal tanker milik Norwegia, Bow Asir dibajak oleh bajak laut hari Kamis. Kapal ini memiliki 27 awak, demikian keterangan Asosiasi Pengusaha Kapal Norwegia. Teluk Aden sering menjadi lokasi serangan kapal-kapal dagang, tahun lalu 40 persen total pembajakan terjadi di lokasi ini. Kapal-kapal perang dari berbagai negara, termasuk Inggris, Amerika, Perancis dan Jerman serta Iran sekarang berpatroli di Teluk Aden sebagai upaya untuk mencegah pembajakan
